Idaho Sewing for Sports Recieves Governor Otter’s 2011 Brightest Star of the Year Award

I was honored to accept the Brightest Star Volunteer of the year award in the Small Business Category on behalf of Idaho Sewing for Sports, inc.

Governor’s 2011 Brightest Star Award Press Release

The company was honored for its decision to bring people back to work and let them do community service when they were off due to lack of our normal work load.  Also, the fact that we adopted this program and continue to allow our employees 4 hours each week to serve in our community no matter what the workload.

We feel the best way to effect the world wide economic and social changes that are needed, is to start with our own homes, businesses, churches, and communities.  Our hope is that our example and that of all the other award recipients will show everyone that we can each make a small differences that will expand to all the world.

It is up to us, not the governments we vote into place to care for the business of our towns, cities, counties, states and nations, to take care of one another.  We are all linked as a big family and if we use that which we have been blessed with to bless those within our sphere of influence.  The world itself would change for the better before our very eyes.
