Proper Storage & Care for Idaho Sewing For Sports Products

With the end of the season just around the corner for many ski areas, we thought we would share our biggest tips for storing and taking care of your Idaho Sewing for Sports products. Proper storage and maintenance can significantly extend their life, and we want all of you to have long-lasting padding and covers.

Tips for storing your padding for the summer

  • Store padding, covers & tubes away from the sun to reduce sun damage and color fade.
  • Rec tubes should be stored flat and with a bit of air in them. This will help prevent creasing and cracking on your rec tubes, resulting in them lasting longer. They can be stacked for space efficiency.
  • If rodents are a problem for you, we have been told that storing your products with dryer sheets helps deter them.
  • All padding can be cleaned with water and mild soap. We don’t recommend using harsh cleaners as it could possibly compromise the integrity of the material as well as alter the color.
